Project Description

The proposed Allt Domhain Wind Farm is located approximately 6.1km east of Glenbarr and 8km west of Carradale on the Kintyre peninsula.

An application to the Energy Consents Unit of the Scottish Government was submitted in July 2025.

Application and Consultation

Following the completion of the EIA Report, Energyfarm Allt Domhain Ltd submitted an application to the Energy Consents Unit of the Scottish Government (the responsible authority for all wind farms above 50MW) in June 2025 to install and operate a wind farm comprising 9 turbines.
Determination is currently underway, involving all relevant stakeholders. The application documentation relating to the above proposal is available to view on the ECU website at www.energyconsents.scot by:– clicking on the Search tab; then,
  • clicking on the Simple Search tab then typing Allt Domhain into the Search by Project Name box then clicking Go; then,
  • clicking on ECU00003231 and then clicking on the Documents tab then clicking the Application Documents tab.
