The Garbet wind farm proposal is located approximately 6km south east of Dufftown in Moray. The proposed draft scoping layout consists of 7 wind turbines with tip heights of up to 200m above ground level. The proposed development would be operational for a 35 year period, after which the turbines would be removed and the site restored.
Garbet Wind Farm secured planning consent in February 2024, with a tip height increase to 200m. Construction will begin in 2025.
