This project is at the early stages of development. An initial layout was prepared for the purposes of scoping the key environmental issues with the local authority and other key stakeholders of up to 15 wind turbines. This layout has subsequently been refined to 9 turbines which we are consulting on this summer, with the intention to submit a planning application at the end of summer.
A scoping request was submitted to Dumfries and Galloway Council in February 2020 for an initial layout based on 15 wind turbines.
Energiekontor is currently consulting on its proposals for a 9 turbine wind farm at Margree. Due to current restrictions on public gatherings due to the COVID-19 crisis we are conducting this public consultation through other means, including online. The downloadable documents on this page contain the consultation material that we would have presented at a public exhibition for the tip height proposals. We would be grateful for any comments or questions from the public on our proposals, and these can be sent directly to the project manager Michael Briggs at Michael.firstname.lastname@example.org. Any questions should be submitted by 9 September 2020 and we will aim to respond within 48 hours of receiving them. Please provide any comments and completed questionnaires by 11 September 2020.
